14th International Freight Forwarders & Logistics Cooperation Forum (Chongqing 2012)

Event Date: Wednesday, 28 March 2012 - Friday, 30 March 2012
Venue: Hotel Sofitel Forebase Chongqing, China

The reason to have a conference in Chongqing is because it has become a major manufacturing hub, an automotive and motorcycle hub, a new Gateway to Europe with a new train service from Chongqing to Europe with an expected transit time of only 12 days. Chongqing is also China’s largest city with some 32 million people and therefore also a consumer hub as well.

Some of the companies with operation in Chongqing is: Microsoft, Coca Cola, Mazda, Ford, BP, Lafarge, Honeywell, Fiat, Volvo, Ericsson, Honda, Continental, Denso, Wal Mart, Johnson Control, Visteon, Apple, Pepsi, BASF, Danone, NTT Group to mention a few.

Chongqing has huge export to South America and Africa of motor cycle engines and spare parts; therefore we hope that a good number of South American and Africa members will attend. As the world’s major automotive hub, we would also expect freight forwarders handing automotive clients would be interested in attending. Only now many members have indicated they are interested in coming to Chongqing.
