after 4 years of trying we have finally got the freight credit protection we wanted for our members and we are very pleased to announce the first 3 CLC members that has been approved. We have created a special membership directory for the members that have taken out the insurance cover to show the other members that they are protected for upto USD 55,000 if they work with this company AND that they are dealing with a company that are committed to ALWAYS pay the other members on time. This will be the best of the best companies only and from next year we will not allow new members that do not apply for this freight payment protection and monitoring. Later we will filter out members that do not meet this criteria and one day have an elite membership club where the best of the best agents belong. It is time we stop being bankers for badly or underfinanced companies that has to used their ‘partners’ money to finance their own lack of cash flow. If all the top management in a company could instead spend their time looking for new business, have better cash flow it will certainly improve the business and profit margins of these GLS approved members.

We hope to see many more CLC members apply and we are organizing special press releases for the members of each country where we have the first CLC member with the GLS Gold cover. It is a unique opportunity to get a lot of free press coverage for your company.

We expect by the end of this year, there will be around 2000 companies approved from the 22 networks that are supporting the Global Logistics Shield insurance protection and monitoring.

An official launch to freight forwarders that do not belong to other networks will be done at our conference in Macau on the 22nde – 26th September, we hope to see as many of our members as possible to this special combined CLC and TFS event with more than 600 expected participants. It will also be an opportunity to see other GLS protected companies.
